While Jungle Dice is hyper-focused on perfecting the Ludo experience, we constantly study the broader digital board game ecosystem to see what mechanics are resonating with players worldwide. Over the past three years, one traditional game has seen an absolute explosion in digital popularity that almost rivals Ludo: Carrom.

For the uninitiated, Carrom is a tabletop game played extensively in South Asia and the Middle East. It involves flicking a heavy "striker" disc to knock smaller wooden discs into four corner pockets, somewhat similar to billiards or pool. The transition of this highly physical, tactile game to the digital screen is a fascinating case study in game design and physics programming.
