Jungle Dice's Roadmap: What the Next 5 Years Look Like

By Jungle Dice Team July 6, 2026

Since the day Jungle Dice launched, we have had one single, unwavering mission: to take the oldest, most beloved board game in the world and push it kicking and screaming into the modern era of competitive, high-stakes gaming. Over the past year, we've introduced massive features like Score-Based Modes, intricate Clan mechanics, and dynamic global leaderboards. But we are not stopping here.

The mobile gaming industry moves at lightning speed, and to stay ahead of the curve, we are constantly innovating. We wanted to pull back the curtain and give our dedicated community an exclusive look at the long-term vision for the game. Here is the official Jungle Dice development roadmap for the next five years.

Phase 1: Environmental Hazards and Dynamic Maps

Right now, a Ludo board is static. The path your token takes is identical every single game. Within the next two years, we are fundamentally changing that. We are currently prototyping fully 3D interactive maps that introduce "Environmental Hazards."

Imagine a board themed around an active volcano. Every three minutes, the volcano erupts, temporarily blocking off specific lanes and forcing players to reroute their tokens or wait it out in a safe zone. Or imagine an ice-themed board where certain tiles are "slippery," causing your token to slide forward an extra two spaces if you land on them. These dynamic maps will inject an entirely new layer of chaotic strategy into the game, rewarding players who can adapt quickly to changing board states.

Phase 2: The 8-Player Mega-Match

Traditional Ludo is capped at four players. We think that's too small. One of our most highly requested features is massive, chaotic multiplayer lobbies, and we are working hard to deliver.

In Phase 2, we will be introducing the 8-Player Mega-Match. This will feature a completely redesigned, expanded board with eight starting zones. The sheer chaos of tracking seven other opponents will require incredible spatial awareness and risk management. To accommodate this without making the games drag on for hours, we will be implementing simultaneous turn systems (e.g., players 1 and 5 roll at the exact same time). It is going to be absolute bedlam, and we cannot wait.

Phase 3: Deep Customization and the Creator Economy

Currently, you can customize your avatar and your board theme. But in the long term, we want you to be able to customize *everything*. We are building a robust cosmetic engine that will allow players to mix-and-match specific 3D tokens, custom dice-roll animations, and personalized victory screens.

Furthermore, we plan to open up the platform to user-generated content. We want to allow our top players and community artists to design their own custom boards and sell them on an in-game marketplace, taking a cut of the premium currency sales. This "Creator Economy" will ensure that there is a constant, endless stream of fresh content injected into the game.

Phase 4: Expanding the Real-World Economy

Finally, we are looking to expand our withdrawal and reward mechanics. We will be expanding the Mega Draw to include high-value physical prizes (like gaming smartphones, headsets, and merchandise) shipped directly to players in supported regions.

We are also exploring deeper integrations with global e-commerce partners to allow you to spend your in-game earnings directly at your favorite online stores without ever having to cash out to PayPal first. The next five years are going to be wild. Stick with us, keep rolling the dice, and watch as the Jungle grows into a global eSports powerhouse.
